Isn't Ashley adorable? What a smart girl she is! She is very mature for her age and was such a delight to work with! We tried so many different things and she was 'game' for all of them! She and I ventured out before our rain started pouring and captured these amazing shots! When I went through these I fell in love with so many of them! Basically.....she RAWKED! Here's what I think...if you do not like these....something is wrong with you! She looks amazing!

It's a Mini-Session with the Allen Family!

Their children were so adorable! We took these shots at Falls Park and the rest of Greenville was there that day as well! But, the kids did great despite all of the distractions! Anticipation!!!

It is so scary and fun when you are expecting your first child. You do not know what to expect but you know you can't wait to see your baby's face! My sweet friend Christina is expecting her first child any day now. As I write this post, Christina is on bed rest and is so anxious to meet her baby girl! We took some time out, and very carefully, took some maternity shots. Of course we had to have Daddy in the photos as well! Thanks Christina for allowing me to photograph your family! I can't wait to meet Payton!

If you follow me on Facebook, you'll probably see a repeat of what I have already said about this precious family! About one year ago, I photographed the West family for the first time. Lily was only weeks old and Owen was the same...only a year younger! ha! Now, as one of the perks of my 'job', I am able to see them grow up. What a difference a year makes! Not only do I have a toddler but so does Nicole. Lily has grown up so much. Owen is still a ham in front of the camera and the West family is still super sweet!

Elliana is Two!

Spring is here! And on a day as beautiful as the one we are having as I type this entry, I took Elliana's two year photographs! She did so well! She had already had a full day playing outside and she still loved being near the creek and exploring the railroad tracks! Her profile is so precious! She has so much energy and loves Minnie Mouse too!

The Snyder Family

What a beautiful day this past Sunday was! This warm weather is teasing us for the summer ahead! My friends, The Snyders, had asked me to photograph their family and Sunday was a perfect day to do just that! The kids were so cute and hysterical and of course they LOVED being outside! After our park shoot we went to a wall filled with graffiti, turned the radio up and just had fun! What a fabulous day!

I am ready for spring. I am sooo tired of cold weather. I am also ready for June to roll around so I can have vine ripe tomatoes. The real deal!!! Not this green house tomato junk they sell in the stores now! So, to get me in the spirit of spring I am doing something I've never done before.

I am a huge skeptic. Huge! I can't believe they are moving....

That's right! This sweet and cute family is moving away! Sniff Sniff! I have had clients move away before so I guess I should not be so sad but I love seeing my clients' children grow! At least we were able to squeeze these shots in before they moved! It was such a cold day at Hollingsworth Park but the kids suffered through it. Brooks was so cold and tried to be a trooper but he just could not stand it! We were able to get a few good shots before he 'called it a day.' I had to include one of him crying in the slide show because when I saw it, it looked to me as if he were saying 'Mom...this lady is keeping me out in the cold. Make her go away!' Ha ha! Sam did great and was as energetic as ever! She is so cute and I will miss seeing her grow up to a beautiful young lady!

My sweet cousin is a Senior!

If you are my friend on Facebook then you already know what I am going to say. I remember when Melyssa was born! You see when she was born, I was 18! I do not feel that far away from 18 years old yet here I am posting my cousin's mini Senior session and I feel like I was just holding her not too long ago! It's amazing how time flies!

Melyssa: You are a beautiful young woman and God has so much planned for you. Life is going to get really fast but slow down long enough to hear what He has to tell you and show you!

Our Family Thanksgiving 2009

This year I was not able to attend Thanksgiving as I normally do. Since we were so close to home we had already decided to spend the night at home. But, I had to leave earlier than I would have liked on Thanksgiving Day because my poor husband was at home with our sick little girl. So, I do not have as many photos as I normally do but these are keepers regardless! We had our normal 100+ group there. We had tons of food (as always!), lots of sweets and snacks, our Christmas Ornament Exchange and our football game after lunch. The wind picked up on Thanksgiving Day and Table Rock was one cold place to be! What a blessing to have such a wonderful Christian family that I can call my own!

Love you all & see you next year in Alabama! (If no one gets sick! ha!)

Jenny & Zach Are Engaged!!

No these photos are not engagement photos but rather the reaction from my cousin, Patti. You see, Patti's daughter (also my cousin) Jenny, became engaged the day before Thanksgiving. I happen to be at the right place at the right time and snapped these photos of Patti hearing the big news!

It's the Chou Family!!

Once again I was granted the pleasure of photographing my friends, the Chou Family. We always have so much fun and we always end up talking about Alabama Football! I could talk a lot about that now (because we have had such a fantastic season!! RTR!!!) but I will not! I will just mention how much I adore this family and how much these children have grown! Especially Stafford! He is not a little baby anymore! He is growing like crazy and Davidson, his older brother, is your typical little boy! He is inquisitive, loves to explore and is 'on the go'. And, they both are gorgeous boys! Yes I can say that about the boys for now because they are both so young. Later on, they will have to be described as handsome; but for now they are gorgeous little men!

I hope you like their photographs from our fun shoot in downtown Greenville! (Oh how I love those old brick buildings!)

My Claire Bear is Nine Months Old!

Here are my sweet babies! My oldest, Cade is 6 and my youngest, Claire is 9 months! We went to Converse College the other day and utilized their beautiful campus for our shoot. Cade found many trees to climb and I found beautiful Magnolias and leaves on the ground to use as our backdrop!

Look how big my sweet girl Kynlee is! She is growing up so quickly and is so pretty! Her big brown eyes just suck you in when you look at her. She is super sweet! She wasn't too excited about having her photos made but once we were outside she was a new woman! She had her 'babies' with her and she did so well! I always love photographing her because she is just so cute and such a sweet little girl!

The Brothers Garrett

I truly love my job. These are three good reasons why. These boys are absolutely precious and are so dear to me. I feel like we are related somehow; I'm not kidding! That is how much I love to photograph these three! Their love for each other is unmistakable! I love how two of the boys have blue eyes and one has brown. I love how sweet Porter has red hair! I love the silly expressions Cal makes and I love how Miles is such a great big brother!

The Scott Family

I love when I meet new people out of nowhere! My family and Susan's family happen to be having Mexican at the same restaurant one evening. We get to talking and Susan invites me to a MOPS meeting at her church. I begin to attend and love it and in getting to know one another, we decide it is time for a photo shoot. So, one cold morning I meet Susan and her precious family at their home. Now, Colin was ready for his shoot but William was not 100% sure. That is until Dad found a beetle on the ground (deceased of course) and proceeded to place him on my shoulder while we were photographing the boys. To both of the boys' delight, this strange girl who had walked into their home now had a dead bug on her! Revenge was sweet!

I had the privilege of photographing my friend's family at his grandmother's 90th birthday party! Wow! Can you just imagine all she has seen? I Googled 1919 and found these things that happened the year Mrs. Holland was born....The first Miss America was crowned, the Treaty of Versailles was signed that ended World Word I with Germany, US President Woodrow Wilson suffers a stroke that leaves him partially paralyzed and A&W Root Beer was introduced. Just a few fun facts for you to think on as you watch her birthday slide show.

First Baptist North Spartanburg's Fall Festival

I was recently at my son's school and noticed a class had posted their stories on the outside of their classroom. The title of their stories were "I Love Fall." Well, I do love Fall and this Fall Festival is one reason why! Fall Festivals are great because there is always Fair Food, always rides and always lots of good music. This years Fall Festival at First North was no different! There were rides for every age and so much food! There were cheeseburgers and sweet tea from The Beacon, yummy chicken sandwiches from Chick-Fil-A and smoky BBQ from Dickey's. And, who can go to a Fall Festival without having at least one bite of cotton candy and a funnel cake! Can't you smell the grease and powdered sugar?

The Horn Children

So many people these days can't seem to stay married longer than a handful of years. Not so in this case! Tom and Nancy have been married 40 years! Wow! There are some days, and I know my husband would agree, I feel as if I've been married 20 years already and it's only been 8! These two had a precious party thrown in their honor by their daughter, Melissa. She pulled this party together quickly and did a great job! It was held at the Acadia River House. Saturday I had the privilege of photographing a beautiful baby girl! Her name is Anna Grace and she is just as sweet as she can be! She had a head full of dark hair and the sweetest toes! Her big brother Joshua loves her to pieces! He loves to play and hide in her closet! The Trubey family is always so sweet and Saturday was no exception. They are so kind and welcomed me into their home with open arms.

The 4th of July

We traveled to Sweet Home Alabama over the 4th of July. We took a little detour through Nashville and saw some of our sweet friends that we miss so badly! Then, it was off to Mimi and Papa's house! We spent one night there and then we all went to Smith Lake for the rest of the weekend. As always, my sister and her husband John were great a great hostess and host! We rode the Wave Runner, went on a boat ride and ate way too well! This was the first time that my sister Allie (aka: Big Al), my brother-in-law Chet, and my niece Leah and nephew Levi had met Claire. Allie and Leah could not get enough of her! One of the greatest benefits of my job is that it does not feel like a job. I feel like an old friend who has been called to photograph these life changing moments in others' lives. What an honor! June 20, 2009, was such a hot day. The temperature on the dance floor was hot too! We might have been in an air conditioned venue but the guests of Breghanna and Sam were tearing the dance floor up! What a fabulous wedding and reception! These two have families who know how to throw a great party. It all began with a beautiful bride! Breghanna looked stunning in her gorgeous dress and Sam looked so handsome in his tux. And, how can I not mentioned their precious Landon! What a looker he already is! Congratulations to you both! On a VERY hot Friday morning I met the Shealy family down at the Rock Quarry for a few photos. Their little ones made it through the hot morning with no problem! It was such a fun time photographing them and meeting them all for the first time! The water fall looked so refreshing knowing how hot it already was and how hot it was going to get! My sweet friend Jacob is now a big two year old! He speaks so clearly! He is all boy and bless his heart, looks just like his daddy! HA! We had a great time taking photos on a beautiful sunny day. We had tried numerous times to schedule his photo shoot prior but the weather kept keeping us from being able to take them until just recently. What a beautiful hot and summery day it was! And, to top it all off, Jacob was able to feed the ducks! I mean....does life get any better for a two year old?

On a rainy Saturday, Lance married his sweetheart, Britney! What a fun day this was! Yes it rained but Britney took it all in stride. She was beautiful throughout the entire day...regardless of the weather. We were all disappointed when the party had to be cut short due to the weather but it was a wonderful wedding anyway.

Look out Clemson and Gamecock fans. There is another Alabama fan in the Upstate! Stafford James Chou was born on Monday, May 17th! He weighed in at 8 pounds, 6 ounces and has some of the greatest hair! Look at him! He is a adorable! Just like his big brother Davidson! To his parents..thank you for allowing me into this precious moment in your lives. Baby Stafford is adorable and I have to say it again..........I love his lips!

One of the perks of being a photographer is making a lot of new friends. Take my friend Kynlee here. I took her first photos around three months of age. Now I have the privelage of watching her grow up and help her parents (whom I love!) document her milestones! She is such an adorable little girl! As we were shooting, people would say, 'Oh my! Isn't she so pretty!' And, I guess because I just love this stinker so much, I answered, 'Oh thank you!' What was I doing answering these people when I am not even her mother! Sorry Linds! Anyways, I guess being so fond of a sweet girl like Kynlee is an occupational hazard I do not mind having.

Is this little man's eyes not the greatest? He is so cute and all boy! Just like a boy should be! And, his sweet baby sister is no different. She is so little and precious! Owen and Lily were a pleasure to photograph on a beautiful Saturday morning. Their sweet mom and dad were on hand for a few shots (dad's hand only! ha!) and so was the first born of the family. A St. Bernard named Georgia. I was told she was the runt of her litter but at 100+ lbs, you would NEVER be able to tell. I hope you enjoy all of the photos of this great family. I would like to introduce to the world Miss Lena Mary Henderson! She is not only a St. Patrick's Day baby but she is my new next door neighbor. Her Mom and Dad waited until she was born to find out if their new baby was a boy or a girl. I really thought she was going to have a boy but I was pleasantly surprised to find out it was a girl! Now my Claire has a new best friend! We've already started planning our pool parties for the summer and as soon as Melissa (her mommy) is up to it, we are going bathing suit shopping for our girls! Thursday, January 22, 2009, was such a wonderful day. My family and I were able to welcome the newest member to our family! Claire Maclaine Loftis was born at 11:02 am. She weighed in at 8 lbs and 14 ozs! She was 21. 5 inches long! I worked hard for her in that delivery room to say the least! Cade is one excited big brother! All Aboard for the Polar Express...

I am terribly late in this post but it is all because of being pregnant and having to put these posts on hold until my baby girl is born. But, I found time tonight to post this fun trip we took on the Polar Express even before she arrives! The Saturday after Thanksgiving we were able to take a trip to the North Pole to see Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. Ironically, it was a short trip from Alabama to the North Pole! We sang Christmas songs, had chocolate milk and a big chocolate chip cookie! We were able to see the North Pole and Santa and Mrs. Clause actually visited us on the train! It was a great trip even though it rained the entire time. What a great time and a great memory. I am sure my son, Cade, and his cousins, Leah and Levi, will never forget it!

The Country Club of Spartanburg ~ Golf Course Grand Re-Opening

December 6, 2008, was a day many of the Country Club of Spartanburg Members had waited for. The day their golf course was re-opened after an extensive renovation. This renovation began in May 2008 and I must say was well worth the wait. The course is beautiful; even if most of the grass is dormant! My thanks to my 'driver' who drove this pregnant photographer around to take photos of this great course! I am pleased to show you the new, and improved, Country Club of Spartanburg Golf Course!

The Johnson Family

I would like for you to meet the Johnson family. They are such a sweet family and have one of the most beautiful daughters! Her name is Charlotte and her eyes and little lips are so precious! She will be one the boys chase after when high school rolls around! She is so pretty! However, Charlotte did not have a good day on the day of our shoot. She fell right before I arrived and I do believe her little head was hurting her. Then, it was rather chilly and towards the end of our shoot it began to sprinkle. My girl was just having an off-day. The Tooth Fairy Visited Us!

This past Tuesday night, Cade lost his first tooth! It was not a traumatic experience like I thought it might be. Rather, Cade was so excited to think about how he was going to tell his teacher and his classmates about his missing tooth! They are such great people and, I've said before, just about the only other Alabama fans in the Upstate! Davidson is now one year old! I can not believe it has been a year since I photographed him as a newborn! Time sure does fly! November has just been so beautiful! One Sunday afternoon was no exception. That is when I met the Denmans at their gorgeous home in Taylors, SC. They have a long, curvy drive way that leads to their own little piece of the world. It is beautiful! They have two horses, Laney and Faith, that also share this property with them. Of course, what beautiful home wouldn't be complete without a sweet dog and a cat! They are such a sweet family and we had the best time laughing and 'shooting.' The Curry Family

Saturday, November 1st, was a beautiful day! I started my day with a photo shoot out in Fountain Inn at the home of the Curry Family. They live on a beautiful piece of property just outside of Greenville. They are so sweet and their children are so cute! Houston and Hartley are some of the cutest children. Their eyes are so brown that you just melt looking into them. We were able to take a lot of fun shots of the kids. This past Wednesday, I made the beautiful drive to Fountain Inn. There I met Mary Katherine. She is a gorgeous baby girl! Her dark eyes and beautiful skin were so pretty! And, she was a very good girl the entire time I was photographing her! Her sweet mom, Kerri, wanted her photographed in her Baptismal Gown. This was no ordinary gown. The gown was made from her mom's wedding dress. This is such a beautiful gown and now it has become a precious family heirloom. Thank you so much for asking me to photograph Mary Katherine. The Garrett Boys!

I am always amazed at how much energy boys have! Sunday night's shoot was no exception! The Garrett Boys are in full swing all of the time! I think it would be safe to assume they are 'full speed ahead' from the time they awake in the morning until the time they lay down to sleep. They are so cute and even though I only spent one hour with them, I could tell they all have very different personalities! I enjoyed watching them play while I took their photo. I kept thinking to myself how much my little boy would LOVE to play with them! Although I have to say I am a little worried at what damage they could all cause!

I had the privilege of photographing the wedding ceremony of Aaron Ford and Deana Borders on Saturday, October 11th. I met Deana back in May and we have become fast friends. She is such a sweet person and has been a delight to work with since day one! Aaron is no different. I met him on his wedding day and immediately felt like I had known him for months. These two are so sweet together and are so in love. Being around both of them all day was such a pleasure. I really felt as if I was photographing two of my dearest friends. To top it off, the wedding party was also a pleasure to work with; and there were 20 of them combined! Aaron and Deana, I wish you nothing but God's blessings on your life together.

The last day of September was spent with two adorable children at Falls Park in downtown Greenville. It was surprisingly hot and very wet from the rain the night before. But, these two did great! Ashton is three years old and is so full of energy! He is your typical boy and is so cute! Caroline is six months and is so adorable! She looked like a baby doll in her white dress and pink bow (it made me excited to think of how I will dress my baby girl!). Nivens Apple Farm

On a very brisk and chilly September morning, the Kindergarten classes from Oakland Elementary took their first field trip of the school year to Nivens Apple Farm. All of the children were so excited and were even more excited as the day progressed. They were able to ride on a hayride, see a 'Scarecrow Reunion' and pumpkin patches. Then, we were able to stop in the middle of the orchard and pick our own apples. Many of the children decided to eat the 'products of their labor' right then! Before the day ended, we walked through a corn maze, tasted apple cider (which was wonderful!) and saw some baby chicks! Of course there was play time because we all know how much energy our five year olds have! Thanks to Nivens Apple Farm for a great day! (And to the sweet lady who allowed me to use her jacket! Brrr! It was cold!)

Go Cart Fun in Nashville !!

The weekend of September 5th was jammed packed! We were in town for Lauren and Keith's wedding (see below) and took the time to catch up with friends! We stayed the weekend at the Jarvis' and had a great time! It is always a pleasure staying with them because we always feel at home! Cade loved staying there because he had Madeline, Ben and Brinkley to play with! And, when the Go Cart was brought out there was more fun to be had!!! Add our friend Emma, and Cade was in Heaven! I do not feel comfortable tooting my own horn! So, when I receive sweet messages from friends and clients (or their friends), I would like to share them. Here are just a few:

"Okay!! Words cannot even describe what my family thought of the slide show (and everyone else for that matter). Just to let you know my mom could not even catch her breath when she called me because she was crying so hard. She said she felt like you had known us for years because you captured exactly who we are!! Also she thought the music was perfect. She asked if I picked it out because it was so perfect! My sister called me in awe! She too was crying and her hubby :). She LOVED them. She even woke her children up on a school night to look at them. My dad was so excited he immediately started forwarding them to all the family. All in all they have been very much enjoyed!! I would love a copy of the slide show if possible. I watch it all the time. My children are even saying "not again mom!!"

September 5, 2008, was not the best day for Nashville weather but it was a great day to get married! Our friends Keith and Lauren were married at the Historic Cedarwood mansion in Nashville, Tennessee. I was fortunate enough to be asked to photograph their big day! Lauren was so laid back and relaxed the entire day; and so was our groom! Lauren looked beautiful and Keith, 'gap' and all, looked so handsome! The ceremony was so sweet and our bride and groom could not have looked happier upon becoming husband and wife!

IT'S A GIRL !!!!!

Today, my husband and I went to my ultrasound. I am due in February and we were so anxious to find out the sex of our baby! Well, after much poking and prodding, the tech told us we were having a girl! Cade is very excited to be a big brother! He has said from day one it was going to be a 'sister'! Now, I have a lot of boy clothes to get rid of and a lot of girl clothes to purchase! And, not to mention, painting our guest bedroom from blue to a more 'girly' shade! We are so blessed and could not be any happier with the news. If I am able to scan my ultrasound pics in I will definitely post them. But, I wouldn't count on it since they are so dark after the initial scan!

The White Family

My little Alabama fan, Davidson, is now nine months old! He has grown so much and is so adorably cute! We met at a local park in Greenville and just had fun! Cade's First Day of Kindergarten

Tuesday, August 19th, was Cade's first day of Kindergarten. There were no tears shed by anyone that day so we were all amazed! Cade already loves school but doesn't quite understand why he has to go every day! We are both still working on the early morning routine we have now had to adopt but in the afternoon we are both so tired! Kynlee is Six Months Old!

This sweet baby girl is Ms. Kynlee. I have photographed Kynlee before so photographing her again was a such a pleasure. She has that porcelain skin only a baby can have and was so cute! She did a great job laughing at her silly Daddy and being so good even though, towards the end, she was so tired. Of course, since her Daddy is a big Clemson fan, we had to incorporate a few Tiger Photos as well! Being an Alabama fan myself, I had to 'suffer' through it! Ha!

A Day at the Park...

Today was a little cooler than it has been. It was 86 instead of 100+! So, Cade and I decided to go to the Park at Lake Bowen. We picked up our lunch at Chic-A-lay (as he calls it) and had a picnic. Then, we played, fed the ducks and took a few photos. Here are just a few of my favorites!

Cade's Day Out With Thomas

Today we surprised Cade with a Day Out With Thomas! Thomas the Train is his FAVORITE toy and loves all of the engines. He can call each one by name! So, early this morning we awoke and traveled to Dillsboro, NC, to the Great Smokey Mountain Railway. We had a great time. Cade loved seeing Thomas and Sir Thopam Hatt. He also enjoyed playing with the train sets. We had a picnic lunch and soon after called it a day. Happy Birthday Buddy! We love you so much and are so glad you (and I quote), 'Had the best birthday surprise ever!'

Cade Loftis Turns 5

My little boy turns 5 on the 29th. We had a soccer party for him on the 26th. We go for weeks without rain and it sprinkles all day long. That is okay though because we had a great time inside. Our friends and family, some of which traveled very far, came and joined us for sandwiches from the Beacon and homemade birthday cake. By the way, my cake split and it looked like the soccer field experienced an earthquake. Oh well! Cade loved his presents and loved playing with friends in his backyard. We had a quick game of soccer and mom wanted to kick the ball to Cade. Of course, I'm the one who accidentally 'clocks' him in the head (You will see that photo in the slideshow). He survived and I still feel bad about it all! Thank you to everyone who came to make my little boy's birthday party so much fun! We love you!

Alexis is Six Months !!

This past Saturday morning, before the heat became unbearable, I was able to photograph one of the sweetest little girls, Alexis Leonard. I had the privilege of photographing Alexis when she was a newborn. Now, she is growing so fast and still just as cute as ever! Panama City Beach

This past Friday morning, I met Joshua and his family. They live in Rutherfordton, NC, on a plot of beautiful property! Yesterday I met little Kynlee. She is such a picture perfect example of a beautiful baby girl. She was so precious.......even when she cried. This past week, my family and I took the trip west to Nashville, Tennessee. While we visited with friends, I had the privelage of photographing Landon Hall. This past Wednesday I met Paul and his sweet parents, Peter and Ellen. Paul is such a beautiful baby boy. He was so content while I was photographing him and loved being outside. He seemed to have the most fun when he was stark naked during his 'boudoir' photos!He has the most beautiful blue eyes....just like his mom! I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Peter and Ellen as well. What a precious family........just like Paul!

Mary Ella's First Birthday

This past Saturday was a very eventful day. Personally, I had serious van trouble. But, on a more joyous note, it was Mary Ella's First birthday party. Mary Ella is the daughter of my friend Dee. Dee and I went to college at Trevecca together and have remained friends ever since. Dee is very special to me, so I was so thrilled to photograph her daughter's birthday. The title of the slideshow is 'Kids Music and Sprite.' This very clever title came from Mary Ella's Dad, Shawn. His comment was, 'Boy have our parties changed. It's all about kids music and sprite now!' I loved it! I thought it was so funny and so fitting for such a great party. Thanks again for allowing me to photograph M.E.'s sweet party.

The Great Easter Egg Hunt - 2008

Over Easter Mark, Cade and I went to Birmingham, Alabama, to see my family. During our stay, my mom and dad's church had an Easter Egg Hunt! We knew Cade would love it......and he did! From the inflatables to the snow cones he had a blast! And, he even found the Golden Egg which gave him a great prize! We also were able to see our cousins, Cade and Connor, at the hunt too! Aunt Wanda brought them over and I had a great time photographing them! I have more photos of Cade and Connor than 'my' Cade. The only reason being 'my' Cade wouldn't stand still long enough! All in all we had a great time and gathered too many eggs which equates to way too much candy! (Is it poor form to save our Easter candy only to hand it out at Halloween? ha!)

Baby Alexis

Today I met a little girl who was absolutely beautiful. Her name is Alexis Leonard. She was so pretty and so little. What an angel! I took well over 120 photos and had the hardest time coming up with which ones to include in her slideshow. Her mom, Katie, and her dad, Jim, were so sweet and I had the greatest time photographing their sweet little miracle. Welcome to the world baby Alexis!

Jacob turns 1 !!

Baby Jacob Holland is not so much a baby anymore! Jacob has turned one year old and is starting to walk and talk! I had the opportunity to photograph him today. He is so cute (as always) and made his mom and I laugh so much. He loves his crackers and his juice! He was a good sport during his photo shoot. Thanksgiving 2007

It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving has come and gone. What's not hard to believe is that we in the Davis family are already looking foward to next year in Calera, Al. This year in Table Rock proved to be a fun time as always. Not everyone could attend but as you can see from our group picture, there were still plenty of Davis' to go around! I hope all that could not attend enjoy the slideshow and at least feel as if they were there once they view it. Enjoy looking at the slideshow over and over again.......I sure do!

Dennis Davidson Chou, Jr.

Wednesday, I met one of the newest members of Greenville, SC. He is a sweet Alabama fan named Davidson. He is four weeks old and absolutely beautiful. I had the pleasure of taking his picture as well as his mom and dad's. Davidson already has a pet as well. A well mannered dog named, Nick (after Nick Saban of course!) Mr. and Mrs. John Lewis

On October 20th, Mark and I traveled the quick trip north to Charlotte, NC. I had the privelage of photographing John and Jenn's wedding. Jenn is one of the sweetest girls around. She is beautiful inside and out. John is also just as sweet. And, I'm not saying that just because he is Mark's boss! ha! Congratulations to both of you! May God continue to bless you both!

Today was quite a Monday...

Today was no day special; at least that is what I thought when I woke up. Carolyn picked Cade up from school today b/c I had a Dr.'s appt. I met them at a meat-n-three restaurant in Spartanburg called 'Wade's'. (Great place by the way.) Well, there are tons of cars there and we ask why it's so busy. Well, Bill Clinton was in town and was eating there today. So, by the time we were ready to leave, he was arriving. I was able to get a few shots of him with my camera phone and a little movie. What I didn't get a picture of was me shaking his hand and Cade shaking his hand! He actually leaned across our table to shake Cade's hand. Cade's response was that of a typical four year old. He said, 'But mommy, I wanna see the fish!' I wish I could have gotten a photo of him shaking Cade's hand but it was SO crowded. Between SS Agents, regular police and news reporters, it was a madhouse!! So, enjoy our little movie and our pics. It was quite the day!

Rebekah and Justin Underwood

On October 6th, my family and I traveled back to Nashville. I was photographing the wedding of Rebekah Ball and Justin Underwood. I have known Rebekah for at least 14 years. I still can not believe she is married now! The wedding was beautiful and so incredibly sweet! They both are so much fun and I truly felt as if I was photographing family. Congratulations to you both!

Publix Field Trip

Cade and the other four year olds at Anderson Mill Road Baptist's Early Learning Center went to Publix on October 1st for a field trip. It was so simple and so cute! They had a great time and received quite a few treats from Publix. Attached you will find a slideshow from their big day. Enjoy!

I had a photo shoot a few Sundays ago with the Hollands. Andy and Mark work for the same company, Cintas, and they live in the neighborhood where we're building. Once I have worked out all of the bugs in the software, I'll be able to post their slideshow. Keep checking back!

Yes, I went by the house again today. =o) I couldn't help myself! I knew the plywood had been placed on the roof so I had to come and see for myself all that was done. Today has been a busy day so far and it is only 2 pm. I met with Jana Candler today to discuss photography and then went back to Cade's school to pick him up and go to the house. Now, I need to sit down and balance the checkbook, return some calls, unload the dishwasher, etc. Hopefully, my photogoraphy website will be up and running soon. I've requested to 'go live' but have yet to hear from them. We'll see.

Here is what our new home looks like so far!

It's coming along! It's really hard at this stage to not go by the house every single day. I really hope we stay on schedule for a November closing time.
