The 4th of July

We traveled to Sweet Home Alabama over the 4th of July. We took a little detour through Nashville and saw some of our sweet friends that we miss so badly! Then, it was off to Mimi and Papa's house! We spent one night there and then we all went to Smith Lake for the rest of the weekend. As always, my sister and her husband John were great a great hostess and host! We rode the Wave Runner, went on a boat ride and ate way too well! This was the first time that my sister Allie (aka: Big Al), my brother-in-law Chet, and my niece Leah and nephew Levi had met Claire. Allie and Leah could not get enough of her! The Celebration of Will's Arrival!!

One of the greatest benefits of my job is that it does not feel like a job. I feel like an old friend who has been called to photograph these life changing moments in others' lives. What an honor! Take the Saunders family for example. This precious family welcomed me into their home and allowed me to photograph their sweet children, adorable dog and a day in their life! We had a great time talking and 'shooting.' Thank you for allowing me the privilege of capturing your family welcoming it's newest addition....precious and sweet baby Will!
